Congratulations 2025 Aplington-Parkersburg Dollars for Scholars Award Recipients!
ACTIONS YOU NEED TO TAKE:
For your college to receive your awarded funds, you must follow all the steps below!
By June 1st: You must log into your portal at www.aplington-parkersburg.dollarsforscholars.org and "Accept" your awards.
By July 1st: You must write a thank you note to your scholarship sponsors and deliver them to A-P DFS to be forwarded on to your sponsor (see detailed instructions in the envelope you received at the Award Ceremony).
By August 1st: You must ensure that your portal is up to date with the college you will be attending in the fall.
As a senior, you earned these scholarships based on your online application. Your college will be sent a check with your awarded funds prior to the fall semester. If they verify that you haven't met the minimum six credit hour enrollment requirement, the funds will be returned to A-P DFS.
If you choose not to attend college in the fall, you have three years to receive the scholarships you were awarded tonight. Please accept the awards online but contact us at apdfs4ap@gmail.com to hold the funds until you attend. Please contact us and update your portal if you change schools mid-year.
Please remember to apply for postgraduate scholarships (you can receive scholarships for a total of four years) by logging into your portal between January 1st and mid-February to update your profile and apply for a postgrad scholarship to be awarded before the next school year. As a postgrad, your award is conditional upon maintaining a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and at least six credit hours / part-time enrollment, as well as a thank you note to the award sponsor.
