Aplington-Parkersburg Dollars for Scholars celebrated its 40th Award night in May, 2024. With the support of our community, we were able to award scholarships of $87,500 to the Class of 2024 and $91,087 to our post grads. Thank you to all who continue to support the education of our graduates and make this night possible. Class of 2024, we wish you the best of luck in all future endeavors.

Aplington-Parkersburg Dollars for Scholars is a nonprofit foundation that supports academic success in our community. As part of Scholarship America's national network of locally based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars chapters, our mission is to mobilize our local citizens, business owners, friends and alumni on behalf of postsecondary education success for our students.

 

Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help hometown students in Aplington-Parkersburg, Iowa achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.

 

We believe every student deserves financial assistance to further their education.

Remember Our Upcoming Deadlines

January 1, 2025 - Scholarships are now open.  Seniors and Post-grads must apply to at least one scholarship to be eligible to receive an award.  We encourage you to apply to all scholarships that you are eligible for.

Application deadlines are:    Seniors - February 16, 2025         Post-Grads - February 24, 2024
